Epping Forest Meet
Well we really lucked out on Sunday after a few days of warm wet weather we were greeted with a beautiful sunny winters day and a veritable sea of fungus to photograph. We barely had left the carpark when photographers disappeared into holes in the ground and behind trees as they found new subjects to point their cameras at.
As a club we really should be doing more days out like this, so if there is something you fancy shooting or somewhere you feel like going have a chat to someone on the committee and we can get it organised.
Talking of which I am thinking of visiting the
Canary Wharf Winter Lights festival again this year and it may make for a fun evening out as a club.
Last Night
Last night featured an excellent presentation by Paul Major, of the various aspects of still life with some good pictorial examples.
During the break we all judged some macro prints, which was won by David Hobbs with his excellent macro photo of a green speckled cricket.
Then went through 36 DPI’s, very good set of images, won by John Thompson with his red eyed tree frog. Each entrant went through their technique for taking the shot which made for a really interactive evening, thoroughly enjoyed by all. Thanks to Jo and Dave Woods for the teas.
