Welcome One and All To This Week's H2 Newsletter

And this Thursday we get to see what our clever & creative members have entered for the Silhouette Challenge.

For the past few weeks members have been taking images that have silhouette elements within them. With any assignment, we consider the most difficult task is having the original idea...going by the images already uploaded to our club Flickr page, we know our members are up to the challenge.

It will be interesting to see which images members enter - see you Thursday!

Members, please email your entries to dpi@h2photo.org.uk with the subject Silhouette to be with us by Wednesday 9 June by 11pm at the latest.
(There's no limit on the number of images members may enter. But please be aware, if we run out of time, we may have to limit how many images are critiqued)

THE ONE IN SIXTY COMPETITION

On this coming Monday (7 June), H2 has an external competition against three local clubs: Barking, Chingford and Walthamstow.

This year it will be hosted by Chingford and will be independently judged by Sue Dobson CPAGB APAGB.

All are cordially invited to join the Zoom meeting; the battle commences at 7.45pm. Zoom login details will follow once we receive them.

Last Thursday's Judged Assignment
 

The assignment was Still Life, a genre that allows the author to have control over every aspect of image creation from subject matter, through composition to lighting. 

Members' images were expertly judged by Colin Westgate and we were very pleased that Colin found many of our images inventive & original. 

We have included the winning images in this Newsletter.

10 June - Silhouette Critique Evening

17 June - Mastering Street Photography presented by Brian Lloyd (Dux) Duckett

24 June - Outdoor Club Meeting (weather permitting)

1 July - Outdoor Club Meeting (weather permitting)

For our Thursday evenings during July and August we will be organising some evening meetings at various locations, (weather & our organisational skills permitting).

In September we are hoping to organise some face-to-face meetings at the Village Hall (obviously subject to Government regulations) - watch this space...
