Last night was a great way for H2 to end the decade. A chance to play with Christmas themed still life setups. Thanks to the donation to the club of a marvellous set of studio lighting we were able to have 4 separate setups and people were able to move around as they learnt, taught, shared experiences and just chatted.
Thanks to Warren and Paul for providing the mince pies and mulled wine too, a lovely thoughtful festive touch.
Don't forget to post up to our Flickr Group your images from the evening. We can all learn from what others did and it would be great to see your work.
So now it is the Christmas break till we return on 9th January. In the meantime, we all have homework to fill in those long days between Christmas and New Year:
Photo Hunt The Photo Hunt gives you 12 subjects to be creative with. Why not play with ideas and new techniques to come up with the most interesting interpretation you can of the subject.
Flaura and Fauna
Natural History we need lots of print entries (up to 4 each) for the Tom Morton Natural HIstory Competition - so why not take a dig through or archive for something special or even get out and shoot something in the next two weeks. We have a good judge (Ron Tear) so it should make for a very interesting evening on the 16th if everyone enters.
When we are back
After Christmas, we start back on the 9th (not 16th as previously advertised) with a talk by our very own Jonathan Saul.

Merry Christmas
I just want to take this opportunity to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
I also wish to as express my gratitude to everyone on the committee who have worked so hard to get H2 off the ground and make it the success it is.
Thank you too, to all the members who have got behind the H2 project and really made it work
