This Week on Zoom....
...we have a talk by Underwater photography guru - David Keep. If you have not seen one of David's talks before I can assure you that you are in for a real treat.
Underwater photography involves all the skills needed in photography, plus all the skills needed in diving and a few extra skills on top. Take a look at David's website and I am sure you will agree with me that David has really mastered it. See you there, H2ers

Last week...
...we had our natural history competition. Judged by David Steele who is a familiar face to those of us who were at Harlow but it was his first time visiting us as H2.
David did an excellent job sorting through and critiquing the images we gave him. It is worth noting that Natural History is quite a specific genera and has it's own specific rules around the amount of manipulation, etc. One thing to note is that whereas a clever title can help an image in an open competition, in Natural History it can actually lose you marks.
David didn't enforce these rules, but he did point them out as he went through the images. The results are below - well done to Jo, Gill, Paul, Paul & Dave.

A Gentle Reminder...
We have the round 2 of our Print League upcoming. The hand-in is on Thursday 30th of November, so bring them along to the Hall on that night.
It was a real joy to see the quality of the printed work H2 members produced for round 1 so round 2 promises to be an exciting prospect.

Wow, our club's Flickr page has been inundated with superb work this week. Congratulations to members for their creative images, many of which we show in this Newsletter. And, as ever, thank you for sharing them on our club platform.
