Welcome to this week's H2PS Newsletter. Over the last few weeks members have participated in two practical evenings - "light painting" in the hall, and "light trails" at the church; and two theory evenings - "what is composition", and a "group critique" of images last week.
This week's meeting built on this input with a PDI show of 47 members' images on the topic of "In The Dark". There was a wide range of images entered, from several genres; some having been taken from the practical evenings but many not.
As each image was shown, the photographer gave comments and interpretations of their image, along with how and where taken, including exposure information. This inspired many thought-provoking comments from members to the extent that by tea-break, less than 20 images had been viewed. We had to speed up during the second half.
Congratulations to Heather (Clarke) for winning a travel tripod, kindly donated by Mark (Edwards). Heather was one of eight members nominated for their hard work and help in the transition of our club from HPS to H2PS"
Technology
Hopefully, everyone who wanted to managed to put entries for the review via the mail handler. Chris has been looking at the issues people have preparing their images and has tweaked it so it resizes the pictures and tries to name them correctly for you if you do it wrong. Trying to get it close to automating all the work Malcolm used to do for us.
Next Week
Our club Christmas Dinner is being held at The Bull pub in Much Hadham on Thursday 5 December at 7.30pm. Please note there is no meeting at the hall on that night.
Programme Changes
Please note that after Christmas we start back on the 9th (not 16th as previously advertised) with a talk by our very own Jonathan Saul.
Flickr
It's really good to see so many members posting to our Flickr Group. It's a good chance to get feedback on your work and its where the images for the newsletter come from. Take a look.

Please do all you can to support it by posting interesting images, articles and discussing posts with other members of the group.
Why not try your hand at something really Christmassy at one of The Ice Rinks in London. Plenty of opportunity for sports, street and winter lights shots.
