Next Week - Paul Radden
Paul Radden, previously of this 'parish' and president of The East Anglia Federation is kindly giving us a presentation. It will be good to catch up with him to see how he and Shirley are doing having moved to Norfolk. His presentations are always interesting.
The zoom invitation for the meeting is below. All are welcome to come along: members & non-members alike.

Every week on a Thursday
Last night was rather a fun evening based on the "Ask The Panel" format. Chris picked from a set of questions for the panel of distinguished photographers to address. The panel of Jeff (Sinclair), Heather (Clarke), Stan (Chippett) and Dave (Hobbs) did a great job dealing with the varied range of questions which led to a really interesting debate on each of the many and varied topics covered.
Big thanks to everyone who sent in questions and thanks to the panel of experts. And last (but not least) our thanks to the club members who really joined in with the spirit of the evening and making for a fun night.

Trudy Kepke: Art Through A Lens
One of the questions at last night's meeting was about 'where we find inspiration'. A speaker I attempted to get for the club was Trudy Kepke whose work is certainly influential and interesting. Unfortunately, she was unable to do a talk for us this time around.
Of course the main reason for mentioning her is that I just wanted an excuse to share this lovely image of hers - do take a look at her work :)

Deer in Epping Forest
A question that we didn't get around to last night was:
"As I travel on M25, M11 and roads around Epping I see herds of deer.
Does any of the panel know where is best to try and photograph them and where to park?"
The important thing to remember is that deer are usually much more active at dawn and dusk, so you are unlikely to have much luck in the middle of the day.
The two locations I see the most deer are, either side of Crown Hill to the East of Lodge Road.
Parking for this is tricky at the moment as you used to be able to park just off the road at Crown Hill but Epping Forest is suffering from Parking Restrictions at the moment so the nearest parking is where Lodge Road meets the Epping New Road.
Friend of the club Peter Warne is an expert on the wildlife in Epping Forest, why not checkout his Flickr portfolio for more ideas of what to shoot whilst you are in the woods.

The Programme
We have been working hard to get a programme together for the next few months. Retaining what we could from the old programme and taking advantage of the fact that we are meeting over Zoom to bring in some speakers we would not normally have been able to:
