Who are all these guys? by Warren Martin

Lotto Citique

So, this week we thought we would try something completely different: Lotto Critique.

The idea is that everyone submits up to 4 photos - Email them to dpi@h2photo.org.uk with the subject LotoCritique by Midnight Wednesday.

Then we pick an image at random & 2 people to randomly provide a critique for them.  This is a chance for everyone to have a go at analysing an image and receiving feedback on it.  If you really can't stand the idea of speaking about an image over zoom just email me: chris@shepherdpics.com and I will make sure you don't get picked.

To join the meeting just use the Zoom invitation below - all are welcome

Going Underground
(Virtually)

Last week was a really entertaining talk from David Watts,  in the first half, David took us through various scenes in Essex and Suffolk, showing his consummate skill as a landscape photographer.  The second half was something completely different; David took us underground and showed us his portfolio of caving photos and explained some of the technicalities of photographing in caves.

For those of us who moan about walking a few hundred yards with camera bag and tripod, the thought of dragging bags of gear six hours down a wet muddy cave, up ladders & down ropes in order to take a picture that you have to light with a team of people holding flashes was quite an eye-opener.

A fascinating evening all round.

The Parish Magazine Needs You...

The Editor of Much Hadham Parish Magazine has requested from H2 members colour images to feature on the front page. She has asked for any shots that can be recognised as (or local to) Much Hadham, be they landscapes, streetscapes or buildings. Given that they are for the front page she asks for them to be 'portrait' format and she is quite happy to have a big sky or similar at the top to allow the magazine title to be placed in the top half.
This is a positive opportunity to motivate members to unfurl their shutter-finger, get out and picture our environment and with the added impetus to get their images in print. Please upload your images to our H2 Flickr page
