We are living through interesting times and it is clear that our club will not be able to meet in person for the foreseeable future. However, we have now created an entertaining (and coronavirus-free) virtual programme that all members can participate in.

Get the Skype App
In order for you to be fully involved we encourage you to download the Skype app. This can be downloaded on your desktop computer, on your laptop, your tablet and even on your smart phone. Once you have Skype on your device, click on this link: https://join.skype.com/kZD0nSv0mQ1N and you will become part of the H2 Skype contact group, and will then be able to access the presentations we have organised from the comfort of your home. Please endeavour to do it this weekend if at all possible, as our first virtual meeting is on Monday (see below). If you have problems getting onto Skype, give Paul (Major) a call on 07708 471331 and he will help.

Our First Virtual Meeting

Our first H2 virtual meeting will be on this Monday (23rd March) at 7.45pm where we will give members an idea of how our virtual meetings will run. You will be able to ask us questions, and we will also help members to use Skype both in audible only mode (recommended) and visual mode.
 

Image Rescue Virtual Meeting

Then on this Thursday (26th), starting at 7.45pm, we are presenting the Image Rescue evening that we were unable to run last Thursday, where we will watch how images are manipulated and improved.  Using Skype, we will be able to interact with the presenter and ask questions just as we would at a face-to-face meeting.

Members' Ideas, please
We would really appreciate members' ideas and comments on what you would like to see and to learn over the coming weeks. There will be a chance for us to talk over Skype on Monday 23rd (see above) but you can contact us, too, and leave your ideas, by clicking this link: committee@h2photo.org.uk

Our Flickr Group
On our Flickr group page we are running a themed "Winner Stays On" competition. The first theme is "In the Kitchen" and will run for the week to Thursday 2 April; we want to see your interpretation of this theme with your images put up on our Flickr page. Chris (Shepherd) will pick the winner. Whoever is the winner, then chooses both the next week's theme and picks the winner of that competition. And so the competition will continue, week on week...
