Hello H2 Members

This Wednesday the 6 May (that's today, guys), H2 are competing against Loughton Camera Club in their Duplicate competition. (Our turn to host the return match is on Thursday 14 May, for your info.) It is being judged at Loughton by Marilyn Steward.

In normal times we had to travel to Loughton to see this match, but with the magic of virtual platforms we can now all get involved and support H2.

Loughton use the Zoom video platform and we have now received the invitation code from Loughton. They have sent us these instructions to assist:

"Below is the link for our meeting. The easiest way is to simply click on the link. Zoom will download on the device if not already installed. The biggest issue I have found people have is when prompted members need to select "Join With Device Audio" if on tablets and phones or "Join with Computer Audio" on computers."

It is Worth Repeating:

This epidemic has had the positive effect that we are now competent with the use of video platforms for communal meetings. That, in turn, has accelerated our plans for tutoring, and we are now able to offer H2 members one-to-one tutorship. This can be on any photographic topic members wish - be it the use of their camera, the best way to print an image or using photo-manipulation software. Just let your committee know what you would like to learn and we will do our best to find you help. Our email address is below.

Also, your committee is working hard to create a programme that will be interesting and exciting. And virtual, obviously. Planned items include demonstrations, speakers and competitions. If you have any ideas, do please let us know if there is anything you would like to see.
