Improving our photography skills with Kirsty Ralfs
Kirsty is a professional photographer living and working in Kent. Not only does she take cracking portraits and wedding photographs, but she also has a passion for teaching photography, both in her private studio and academically at college.
H2 members first met her when she judged one of our competitions; many members were very impressed with the critiques she gave of their images, her ability to assess all genres of photography and the depth of her knowledge of all-things photographic.
The H2 committee feel that all members, however experienced, could benefit from joining her classes and have now arranged for Kirsty to teach our members. This is a first for our club, indeed we are not aware of this benefit being available in any other camera club.
This opportunity is freely available to all H2 members (as part of H2 membership) and will be run over Zoom. The lessons will be in a group once a month and last for up to 90 minutes. Kirsty will be teaching us from her curriculum, at a level that is balanced but stretching. There may even be ‘homework’.
We have arranged this provisionally for a three-month period and will review it as we go. Who knows, we could all end up advancing our skills.
