The H2 Newsletter
Mono Competition
Last night was the first ever competition for H2 and what a great start it was. The Tony Perryman monochrome print competition was very ably judged by Tom Peck who carefully walked through our images offering detailed and informative critique on each one.
As a trial we videoed the judging for members who were not able to make it that evening the video will hopefully appear on our YouTube Channel when I finish editing & uploading it.
The Eventual Winner was Stan Chippett with his image "Greek Arch" and here he is being presented with his prize (one of Tony's beautiful sculptures) by the artist himself.

Mailing Images for Competitions
There is an adage in warfare "no plan survives contact with the enemy" and programming is similar. Most people managed to use the mail handler without difficulties but I have now updated it to handle the issues that did come up:
- AppleMail is now supported
- Only 1 email address is used whether it is print or dpi (it works that out for you)
- It will accept the competition subject or description as the email subject
Hopefully that should make things easier for those who had problems this time.

Close Up Evening
It certainly looks like I missed a great week on the close up evening judging from the lovely images on our Flickr group everyone seemed to have a great time and produced some really interesting images. I have added a few in the newsletter but please pop over to the group and see the rest for yourselves.
