Well last night was a really fun evening, having been unable to use the hall, Rector Steve Bates kindly agreed to let us use the church. We kicked of with a chat by Steve Mason featuring his experience as a wedding photographer which was really interesting to hear how the industry has changed. This lead into Steve setting up a light painting demo for the whole club where we could all learn the basic idea of how it works with our own cameras.
Then everyone broke off and did their own thing in and out of the church. There were some really creative ideas coming out (you can see my effort below), it would be good if people could upload their shots to the clubs's Flickr site so we can all learn from each other. Thanks to Steve Mason, The Rector and Warren for organizing everything.
Next Week
Next Thursday is the unmounted A4 prints critique evening - so get printing! If everyone can bring 4 prints up to A4 size with no mounting then we should have a good evening.
New members, don't be shy, critiques are to help us all improve and think about the images we make.
In addition the following Thursday we have our review of images on the subject of "In The Dark", hopefully everyone should have something to enter after this months practicals but if not there is still time to create something interesting. Please email up to 4 images in an email to
dpi@h2photo.org.uk with the subject
InTheDark with our pictures attached to it
by Sunday 24th.
We want to get everyone participating so please bring some prints on both evenings if you can.
Programme Changes
The Programme has been tweaked a bit, due to the hall being unavailable. The important thing is that the Christmas Dinner has moved to the 5th December in The Bull. See the panel below but please contact Paul Major as soon as possible to reserve your place.

Why not try posting some of your images on
our Flickr Group. It's a good chance to get feedback on your work and its where the images for the newsletter come from.
