...Light painting time in the hall

It's time to bring your cameras and tripods if you have them as we have a light painting practical session.  Should be a chance to try something different  ad get some unusual images.

Last week was our portrait competition
 
Congratulations to Rosie for getting, not only the top spot in last week's Portrait Competition, but also second place as well. And well done, Lynne, for gaining third place.

Also, very encouragingly several of our newer members excelled in this independently judged contest with Gill and Ken gaining highly commended (HC) for their images. Yvonne gained both HC and commended along with Chris, Dave and Jeff. Hats off to you all.

This Sunday in Epping Forest

On Sunday the 30th of October, you are invited to our annual Epping Forest meet.
Please Note: This is the day the clocks go back, so check your timings

There are 2 carparks opposite each other - we are meeting in the one on the left as you go down the hill towards Theydon Bois

In addition to any photography gear you need, boots/ wellies are highly recommended as it is very muddy in places. plus a packed lunch/drink is highly recommended as we will usually be far from civilisation at lunchtime.

Tripods, Macro lenses, lights and reflectors are recommended if we find any fungus to photograph.
 

Important note on Parking

A new parking regime has been introduced in Epping Forest and it will apply to the carpark we are using on Sunday. You can use contactless to pay at the machine or if you can get a phone signal payment can be made by the Smartphone App "Ringo",  it is worth taking the time to download the app and register your car & credit card beforehand on it.

Rules for Competition entries

Prints need to be handed in a week before the competition as previously, but a digital copy of the image must also be submitted via email.

Digital Images need to be submitted a week before via email (no more bringing cards & memory sticks in).


How to Submit Images via Email

  1. First prepare images following the guidelines for projected images.
  2. Create a new email  to dpi@h2photo.org.uk  
  3.  Set the Subject of the email to the name of the competition from the lists below.
  4. Attach your files and send them
 You should get a reply within a few minutes telling you if your entry has been successful.

 Example
To enter the Summer Challenge Critique Evening competition we send an email to dpi@h2photo.org.uk with the subject SummerChallenge with your pictures attached to it.
