This Week: league comp

This week is our Second League competition of this season. The entries are up to three DPI images on any subject and the hand-in is on or before 29 November. It will be judged by independent judge, Kirsty Ralfs on zoom (details below).

PROGRAMME CHANGE

Due to our judge having to cancel, the still life competition is no longer going to be a print competition in the hall but instead we have it as a DPI competition on zoom on the 16th . As we don't have many entries, we have extended the closing date for entries to the 12th. You will need to email in your entries to dpi@h2photo.org.uk with the subject "Still Life".

The plan is to hopefully judge the same images as prints later in the year, so if the idea of print entries was putting you off you have plenty of time to sort them out now.

Last Week...Christmas Sparks & Smoke

As it turns out it was our last evening in the hall this week, before the Christmas break.

We had Chris with his sparklers, smoke, baubles and lights at one end of the hall and Heather and her Still Life setups at the other end. So what with incense, joss sticks, and smoke we had quite an atmosphere!

Heather had brought along lots of interesting objects and it's amazing what you can achieve with a white tablecloth and lots of dead and decaying fruit veg and flowers.

Altogether it was a lovely relaxed evening with mince pies, some creativity and lots of friendly chat.

Big thanks to Jo for organizing the Christmas themed catering, Heather for being such a still life expert and Chris for filling the place with smoke.

Rules for Competition entries

Prints need to be handed in a week before the competition (but as we meet every other week it is actually 2 weeks in advance), a digital copy of the image must also be submitted via email.

Digital Images need to be submitted 10 days before via email

How to Submit Images via Email

First prepare images following the guidelines for projected images.
Create a new email to dpi@h2photo.org.uk
Set the Subject of the email to the name of the competition from the lists below.
Attach your files and send them

You should get a reply within a few minutes telling you if your entry has been successful.

Example
To enter the Portrait competition we send an email to dpi@h2photo.org.uk with the subject Portrait with our pictures attached to it.
