Hello H2ers, welcome to this week's Newsletter.

This week we welcome back Richard O'Brien, photographer, presenter and manipulator extraordinaire.

Some of us will remember he gave us an excellent presentation last year. This time he will take us through the power of masking both in Lightroom and Photoshop. Take a look at his website here.
Sometimes the eyes can say more than words

Last Week...

We were treated to a great talk by Daniel Bridge, with his top 10 tips.  Daniel is a professional photography trainer and it clearly showed with the ease with which he put across the ideas and tips involved and who can forget the hedgehog factory?

In addition, we had a display of the prints for the upcoming mono print competition and it really showed what a talented and creative lot H2 really are.
 
A really enjoyable evening all round.

The EAF Exhibition

This year's East Anglian Federation's annual exhibition of prints and projected images is being held at Wingfield Barns in Suffolk from Saturday 29 April to Thursday 11 May.

Because H2 Photographic Society is affiliated to the EAF all members of H2 can enter their images giving them the chance to have them chosen for inclusion in the exhibition. For full details see the EAF website here.

Images For Our Parish Magazine

Hello H2ers, and a big thank you to those members who have sent me their images of Much Hadham and its environs for potential inclusion on the front of the Parish Magazine.

Do please continue to look through your files for images that shout Spring and Summer. These will be just the type of images the editor would love to see on the front cover.

 Twitter users can find the H2 twitter feed here.  It consists of reposts of the newsletter and articles that have caught my eye.
Rules for Competition entries

Prints need to be handed in a week before the competition as previously, but a digital copy of the image must also be submitted via email.

Digital Images need to be submitted a week before via email (no more bringing cards & memory sticks in).


How to Submit Images via Email

  1. First prepare images following the guidelines for projected images.
  2. Create a new email  to dpi@h2photo.org.uk  
  3.  Set the Subject of the email to the name of the competition from the lists below.
  4. Attach your files and send them
 You should get a reply within a few minutes telling you if your entry has been successful.

 Example
To enter the Summer Challenge Critique Evening competition we send an email to dpi@h2photo.org.uk with the subject SummerChallenge with your pictures attached to it.
